Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston Pension Plan

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston Pension Plan provides retirement benefits to eligible employees of participating Catholic organizations. The Plan was frozen as of December 31, 2011. On an annual basis, eligible participants are offered the opportunity to make a voluntary lump sum or annuity election.  Information is mailed to eligible participants prior to the election window. In addition, beginning in 2013, the Trustees of the Pension Plan began to purchase annuities representing full value for vested participants as individual employers accrued sufficient funds to make these purchases. The annuity purchase process is ongoing and is expected to continue over the next 15-20 years until all benefits have been annuitized.  Current and former employees of participating employers should contact their employers about the estimated date of annuity purchase if those employees have not already received an annuity certificate from an insurance company.

For additional information, contact the Benefits Office at (617) 746-5640.
